About the Authors Each MEDICAL SIMULATIONS case history is developed by a leading clinician who is the author of the case. Authors are recruited from the nations leading teaching hospitals, and they represent some of the most distinguished and knowledgeable clinicians available in the particular medical specialties. A backgrounder for the author of each individual MEDICAL SIMULATIONS case history is presented at the beginning of each case, including his or her credentials, as well as detailed information concerning the associated medical teaching institution. Fully Accredited CME Programs MEDICAL SIMULATIONS case histories are produced and accredited under the auspices of leading medical teaching centers around the nation. The objectives of each continuing education program are presented by the designated accrediting teaching institution at the beginning of each MEDICAL SIMULATIONS case history, and each case is designated for up to two (2) credit hours in Category 1 of the Physicians Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. (Note: Continuing Nurse Education credit is also available for some cases.) As you complete each individual case study program, it may be submitted for credit by following the instructions found at the end of each case. All CME activities are planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essentials.
